My Story
Hi! I’m Emily Bearse, the creator of Rock Hill Shops. I started this platform as a way to spotlight, highlight, and promote local small businesses, events, and activities in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and the surrounding areas. What started as a fun project has grown into a true passion for connecting people with the amazing businesses that make our community special.

The idea for Rock Hill Shops began when I posted a few videos of local shops just for fun. I quickly realized how much I loved sharing these businesses with others, and soon, I created this page to fully dedicate myself to supporting our local community. Over time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible business owners, build relationships, and create fun and unique ways to promote small businesses.

One of my favorite projects I created is Duck Duck SEEK!, a scavenger hunt-style initiative where I hide rubber ducks at different businesses to encourage people to visit and support them. Seeing the excitement from both customers and business owners has been so rewarding!

In 2024, I was honored to be nominated as a semi-finalist for the 20 Under 20 Award, recognizing young leaders in the Queen City area. I never expected Rock Hill Shops to grow the way it has, but I’m so grateful for the support and opportunities that have come from this journey.

My mission is simple—to support, uplift, and promote the small businesses that bring so much character and creativity to our community. Whether you’re a business owner or someone who loves shopping local, I’m so glad you’re here. Thank you for being a part of Rock Hill Shops!
